To make the concrete floor screed executed flawlessly, you need to approach this issue seriously.
First of all, you need to prepare everything you need to ensure that the concrete floor screed has been completed without delay. For this we will use:
- concrete mixer;
- cement (best of the brand 500);
- if there are interruptions in the supply of water – make an abundant supply of water;
- a hydroparabarar;
- working tool (shovels, buckets, trowel, rule, etc.).
If everything is ready, we begin work. First, prepare a qualitative basis for the future screed. To do this, remove all construction and household garbage from the room. Then, over the entire floor area, under the future screed, spread out the hydroparabarar.
Its edges should protrude on the walls. After that, put beacons on the floor. These can be special beacons made of metal (sold in construction stores), as well as a brick laid down on the level of cement mortar (if the thickness of the screed overlaps the height of the brick). When this work is done, the lighthouses should be left for a day to fix them on the cement slurry.
The next day after installing the lighthouses, the floor is poured with concrete. In order to make the concrete floor screed ideal, first of all it is necessary to prepare a quality mortar from the sand-cement mix.
For the rapid preparation of such a solution, put sand and cement (preferably grade 500) in a concrete mixer in a ratio of 3/1. Turn on the concrete mixer and gradually add water to the cement-sand mixture until this mixture resembles a wet clay in its consistency. Well mix the solution in the concrete mixer so that all the cement and sand lumps are mixed and turned into a single mass. Then fill the space between the walls and beacons with cement mortar. Rule remove the excess solution, moving the rule to the sides relative to the beacons. If in some place the screed sagged, it is necessary to add cement mortar and repeat all the movements with the rule. Pay attention to the edges of the hydroparabarer protruded to the wall and did not stay under the solution. Thus, it is necessary to fill the rest of the screed.
It is important to perform each batch of a new portion of the cement slurry immediately after the production of the previous one. That already laid screed did not have time to dry. When the entire floor is poured with concrete, leave it to dry. This should be distinguished from 2 to 3 days. After the floor dries completely, trim all the edges of the hydroparabar on the walls. After you have completed all of the above steps, the concrete floor screed will be finished.
